About OPIN
As per its original mandate, OPIN is a joint initiative of two lead organizations: The
Ontario
Photonics Technology Industry Cluster (OPTIC), and the
Ottawa
Photonics Cluster (OPC). If you are a member of either OPTIC or OPC, you are automatically also a member of OPIN.
Our mandate is to undertake four projects as outlined in our ORCP documentation.
PROJECT 1: Strengthen
Ontario
’s receptor capacity in photonics through best practice programs to support growth, investment and utilization of technology for improved competitiveness of
Ontario
’s economy.
PROJECT 2: Strengthen
Ontario
’s receptor capacity in photonics through joint Business Development initiatives.
PROJECT 3: Strengthen
Ontario
’s receptor capacity in photonics by providing a commercialization and innovation gateway to
Ontario
’s universities.
PROJECT 4: Strengthen
Ontario
’s receptor capacity in photonics by giving industry and entrepreneurs mentoring, knowledge and assistance in developing new products.
